A Giant Thank You Note (and other random thoughts)
Hey y’all,
I’m sitting backstage at a surprise birthday party waiting to go on and do a special concert for a lady in North Carolina who loves Talley music. Her husband arranged the whole thing and she has no idea I’m here! Cool, huh?!
Since I don’t have all the addresses for everyone, I thought I would write a giant thank you note to everyone who so kindly sent gift cards and brought gifts to my bridal shower in Myrtle Beach! It is so humbling to be the recipient of such generosity and love and Brian and I truly thank you. You will make our home so pretty!
Also, Saturday is our Extra Mile conference in Jacksonville, North Carolina! I’m so excited about it. If you still don’t have tickets, don’t worry, you can get them at the door. We start the afternoon session at 2 pm and the evening concert at 7 pm. We’ll be at Brookwood Baptist Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina…don’t miss out!
Well it’s almost time for me to leave my hiding place and go sing Happy Birthday…see you tomorrow!

I did not even turn my computer on at home on Sunday at all. It was lovely meeting your mother, too. How sweet you both were! I did get home just fine thank you, glad to hear that you both made it home okay, too.
Had such a terrific time at the Extra Mile Event, and you are so right, getting to hear the Talley’s is always a blast. It was an uplifting day. Please say Hi to your Mom for me, and y’all take care.

I bet she loved that gift… By the way… the Summersville concert was AWESOME, and I haven’t got to complete your book yet because, I honestly haven’t had time. However, I have read a lot of it, and it is amazing…. I wanted to know if you would mind if I use your book to teach the Prayer Club at my high school. I know that the message will not be anywhere near as great as it is when you teach from it,because you wrote it through the experiences that lead you to them, but I thought that the wonderful messages that it has could be just what we need at Tug Valley. Thanks

I’m “that lady in North Carolina” and it was an AWESOME surprise. My husband and I even got to sing with Lauren. This will definitely be one birthday party I will never forget and I do have the best husband in the world. Lauren, thanks so much for making the evening so special.
Joy, it was an awesome party! Watching and listening to you and Tony sing with Lauren was priceless. Lauren, thanks for letting two great people sing with you and making the people that love them so much have such a special evening.

Hey Lauren!
Just wanted to tell you how much fun I had in NC at the Extra Mile Event 2011. Thank you and your Mom and Dad for having the Event. People like me really do benefit from this kind of conference. I walked away feeling inspired and so emotional. It is always terrific to hear the Talley’s sing, and having the Wilmington Choir behind y’all was big fun. Those were some amazing sounds coming from you all! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the kindness of you and your parents. I so look forward to seeing y’all again. And how nice was it that I got to meet Louise at the conference? Take care.

That was our daughter (in law) that you sang for last Friday night. She is a precious part of our family and our son, Tony brought a real blessing into our family. A mother’s heart rejoices when her children marry well.. We have 2 wonderful daughters in our family because our son’s followed their hearts.
Lauren, you were the icing on the cake for joy’s 40th birthday party. Tony was so excited when he initially contacted you about the party and the excitement grew more each time you communicated with each other.
WE have seen you and your parents numerous times at concerts and always feel blessed by your gift for singing for God.
We would like to wish you the best and know you will be a beautiful bride. (What a great fiance to share you with Joy and all of us on his birthday.) I’m sure he is a special guy.
